Our PA6 resins provide excellent mechanical properties including high tensile strength, rigidity and hardness, allowing them to be used in applications that demand load-bearing. Its good impact resistance ensures the materials can stay flexible and able to withstand impacts, making them suitable for use in exterior parts. The superior heat resistance of our PA6, with softening and melting temperatures around 220°C, enable it to retain properties at temperatures as high as 80-90°C. The material also shows resistance to a range of chemicals, greases and solvents.
When it comes to processing, the PA6 raw materials have low stress and can avoid warp during demolding. They also process well on injection molding machines. Furthermore, the material is formulated to resist UV exposure, so it will not discolor or degrade when used outdoors. On top of that, our PA6 grades are food-contact compliant and contain no harmful or restricted substances.
Customization of the material’s properties is available, and we can develop tailored materials with desired properties like heat/flame resistance, lubricity or toughened impact strength. Aliphatic polyamide is a chemical structure with the appearance of semicrystalline granules. It has properties such as a density of 1.14 g/cm3, a melting point of 220°C and a softening point of 80°C. It also has a water absorption as high as 5%, and a moisture content that is ≤0.1%. The molecular weight lies between 20000 - 30000. Furthermore, aliphatic polyamide has a tensile strength of ≥55 MPa, a tensile modulus of ≥2500 MPa, an elongation at break of ≥50%, a flexural strength of ≥80 MPa, a flexural modulus of ≥2500 MPa, a hardness of Rockwell R Scale ≥105, an Izod impact strength of ≥10 kJ/m2 and a thermal index of ≥80°C.
Processing-wise, aliphatic polyamide has a temperature range of 210-240°C and a moisture content of ≤0.04%. Overall, aliphatic polyamide is a highly versatile product with a great set of mechanical, thermal and absorptive properties.
